Topping

Preheat oven to 450° F.
In a small dish combine the topping ingredients set aside.
Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Mix; Add wet ingredients and wisk until smooth.
Pour into a slightly greased 10 inch cast iron skillet
Slice the pear into 10 slices lengthwise and remove the seeds with a paring knife. Arrange the pears as spokes in the batter and sprinkle with the topping.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
